Tiderace have developed a new design! The XCEED is a family of skeg, expedition kayaks which will replace the older designs in the Tiderace range. The versatile XCEED builds on the success of the Xcite, Xplore and Xcape series to become a refined new generation of sea kayak which will deliver the touring and expedition performance that Tiderace paddlers have enjoyed.
G core construction is the most affordable of the Tiderace constructions, G-Core employs a biaxial glass cloth to encapsulate the resin supported core material. Biaxial cloths have straight fibres running in two diagonal directions – these dense straight fibres increase the fibre to resin ratio and add stiffness to the laminate. Extra localised reinforcing is employed in high stress areas.
